Export your list from Mailchimp

Download your Mailchimp audience as CSV files and bring them into Zeebra.

  1. In Mailchimp, open Audience. If you have more than one audience, pick the one to move from the Audience drop-down.
  2. Click Export audience, then Export CSV. Mailchimp emails you when the export is done. You can also download it from More options → Export history for 30 days.
  3. The download is a ZIP file with one CSV per group: subscribed, unsubscribed, non-subscribed and cleaned. Unzip it. In Zeebra, open Contacts → Import and import the subscribed file.

Zeebra matches the email, names and tags for you; map the merge fields you want to keep to your own properties.

People who unsubscribed or bounced

Mailchimp's files have no status column: the file name is the status. Don't import the unsubscribed and cleaned files as they are. Paste their addresses into your do-not-email list instead (Settings → Contacts), so nobody on them is ever emailed, even if they turn up in a later import.

See Importing contacts for the next steps.
