Terms of service

The agreement between you and Zeebra when you use it: accounts, plans and billing, limits, the API, and our responsibilities.

Last updated 25 October 2026

These terms are an agreement between Kanary Labs, LLC ("Zeebra", "we") and the business or person who uses Zeebra ("you"). By creating an account, or by using Zeebra on behalf of a business, you accept them for that business and confirm you may do so. If you don't agree, don't use Zeebra.

They go together with the Acceptable use policy, the Privacy policy and the Refund policy.

The service

Zeebra keeps your contacts and sends your email campaigns from your own domain (or, until yours is ready, from a subdomain of ours), with sign-up forms, segments, public pages for your campaigns, an API, an MCP server for AI agents, a CLI and webhooks. We may improve, change or remove features over time; when a change takes away something you rely on, we tell you first.

Accounts and workspaces

  • You need an account to use the app. Give us true details, keep your password and API keys secret, and turn on two-factor sign-in if you can. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
  • An account belongs to one person. Your data lives in workspaces; the owners and admins of a workspace decide who else can use it and can remove them. You are responsible for the people you let into your workspace.
  • You must be at least 18 and use Zeebra for business purposes.

Plans and billing

A workspace needs a plan to send. Plans are billed in advance through Stripe, monthly or yearly; there is no free plan:

Plan Emails a month Active contacts Monthly Yearly
Starter 20,000 10,000 $19 $190
Growth 75,000 25,000 $39 $390
Scale 200,000 60,000 $79 $790
Business 500,000 150,000 $149 $1,490

Prices are in US dollars, plus any taxes that apply.

  • Without a plan you can set up a workspace: settings, contacts added by hand (a few a day), lists, templates, drafts and previews. Sending campaigns and test emails, imports, exports, sending domains, API keys, webhooks, signup forms and the public pages wait until you choose a plan.

  • Limits: each plan includes a number of campaign emails a month and of active contacts (unsubscribed, bounced and dormant contacts are free; test emails don't count). A send that would go over this month's emails, or while active contacts are over the plan, is blocked until you upgrade or the plan's month starts again.

  • Upgrades take effect at once; Stripe charges the difference for the rest of the current period straight away (prorated).

  • Downgrades take effect at the end of the current period, so you keep what you paid for until then.

  • Cancelling: cancel any time in Settings → Billing (Stripe's billing portal). The plan stays until the end of the period you paid for, then the workspace has no plan: sending and the other paid features stop until you choose one again. Your data stays.

  • Refunds: see the Refund policy. Payments for a period aren't refunded when you cancel or downgrade during it, unless the law requires it.

  • Price changes: we tell you at least 30 days before a new price applies to you; it applies from your next period.

  • Unpaid invoices: if a payment fails and isn't fixed, the workspace has no plan until it's paid or you choose another.

Your content and data

You keep all rights to your contacts, campaigns, templates and other content. You give us the rights we need to keep, process and send them to provide Zeebra to you, and nothing more. For your contacts, we act as your processor, as the Privacy policy explains.

You promise that you have the right to upload your content and contacts, that your contacts asked for your emails, and that your campaigns follow the law (such as anti-spam and privacy laws where your contacts are) and the Acceptable use policy.

You can export your contacts at any time as CSV, and through the API.

Limits, pauses and suspension

To protect your sending and everyone else's, Zeebra paces large sends, warms up new domains, and pauses or blocks sending by itself when bounces, spam complaints, spam traps, Gmail's spam rate or Amazon SES say something is wrong. The rules and their current values are in the Acceptable use policy. A blocked workspace sends nothing until our team has reviewed it.

We may also pause, limit or suspend a workspace or an account, with or without notice, when it breaks these terms or the Acceptable use policy, puts the service or other customers at risk, or when the law requires it. When we can, we tell you why and how to fix it first.

The API, MCP server and CLI

  • Use them only with keys or apps you created or approved, keep keys secret, and give each the access it needs.
  • Respect the rate limits and don't try to get around them, or to reach data that isn't your workspace's.
  • We keep the API stable under /api/v1 and announce breaking changes before they happen, but we may change or remove parts of it with reasonable notice.
  • Everything the API and webhooks send is covered by these terms, like the app.

The data product (when available)

Zeebra's AI search, contact unlocks and lead credits are not open to customers yet. When they are:

  • Credits are bought in packs or come with sign-up, are used when a contact's email or phone is found, and have no cash value.
  • You may use the data you unlock only for your own business, lawfully (including anti-spam and privacy laws), and not resell or publish it. People who unlock as prospects are never sent campaigns unless they opt in.
  • People can remove themselves from the data at any time; we then hide them, also from what you unlocked before.
  • We get the data from providers and public sources and can't guarantee it is complete or correct.

Our responsibilities

We run Zeebra with care and keep your data secure, as the Privacy policy describes. We aim to keep it available all the time, but can't promise it will never be interrupted, for example by maintenance, by Amazon SES or other providers, or by events outside our control.

Zeebra is provided "as is". We don't promise that every email reaches the inbox: mailbox providers decide that, and your list, content and sending habits matter most.

Liability

As far as the law allows:

  • neither of us is liable to the other for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill;
  • our total liability for anything to do with Zeebra is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the event that caused it.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law doesn't allow to be limited, such as for fraud.

Ending

You can stop using Zeebra and delete your account at any time in Settings → Profile; the Privacy policy says what happens to your data then. We may end these terms for a workspace or account that seriously or repeatedly breaks them. What by its nature should last after the end (such as payment owed, liability and governing law) does.

Changes to these terms

When we change these terms we update the date at the top, and we tell account owners about changes that matter before they apply. Using Zeebra after a change applies means you accept it.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, USA, and disputes go to the state and federal courts located in Wyoming, USA, unless the law where you are says otherwise.
